Karaoke 

 

Any cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to losing the full booking fee. Bookings 48 hours + may be moved to another transferable date – subject to availability. Bookings will be held for 15 minutes from your reservation time. In the case of late arrivals, please give us a call to let us know and we will try to accommodate you and keep your timeslot. Please be aware that at peak times, this will be subject to availability and we cannot guarantee the room for late arrivals. 

 

Damage Policy 

 

You will be liable for any damage made to the equipment in Alibi, and required to pay for the repair or replacement in full on the night, prior to leaving the premises. This can include microphones valued at £450 each, TV at £700, touchscreens valued at £400, speakers (wall or ceiling bracket) valued at £200 or broken speakers valued at £600, Hdmi adapter at £60, HDMI lead at £25, Aux lead at £25, Mic lead at £30 each and any marks made on the seating by high heels up to the value of £200. Wallpaper damaged is charged at £1000. There is continuous CCTV in the karaoke rooms. You may also incur a charge if extra cleaning is required either caused by you or anyone in your group. 

 

Group Drinks Bookings

 

Bookings will be held for 15 minutes from your reservation time. In the case of late arrivals, please give us a call to let us know and we will try to accommodate you and keep your timeslot. Please be aware that at peak times, this will be subject to availability and we cannot guarantee room for late arrivals. 

 

NB. Drinks bookings are also bound to adhere to our karaoke terms and conditions above if they go into the karaoke room. 

 

Age Restrictions Policy/ Licence 

 

Guests must be of a minimum age to gain entry to Alibi. We accept photo IDs in the form of passports, full UK driving licence or ID cards. Bookings with guests under the legal age will be denied entry and any payments made are non-refundable. Exceptions are made for children’s parties at specific times and when arranged in advance. 

 

Alibi reserves the right to deny entry or serve alcohol to anyone deemed to be intoxicated. Any payments made for karaoke room hire are non-refundable on this basis. Alibi is under 24/7 CCTV operation. As a company, we exercise our duty of care to keep our staff safe whilst at work. We have a zero-tolerance attitude towards any incident in which an employee is abused, harassed, threatened or assaulted, either in person or online, and will take legal action if necessary.

 

Under 18 Parties at Alibi - Terms & Conditions of Hire


All under 18 groups must have an accompanying adult on the premises with them at all times. This is for licensing reasons.

 

For karaoke groups aged 13 and under, we require the accompanying adult to be in the karaoke room with the underage attendees. For groups over 13 years of age, we’re comfortable with accompanying adults to situate themselves in the main bar on the ground floor, but to remain on the premises.

 

It is a condition of karaoke bookings for underage guests, that they remain in the room and not to wander around the premises. The reasons for this are that it can disturb other guests in the bar, but also for the maintained safeguarding of our underage guests.

Alibi only offers underage karaoke parties for the 1pm and 3pm Saturday slots, unless prior agreed with Alibi management. 

 

Alibi also only allows underage groups in the larger karaoke room, as it has a magnetic fob locking system, which is a key part of our safeguarding procedure for younger guests. We do not allow underage karaoke groups to book in for the Snug, our smaller karaoke room.

Alibi cannot accommodate anybody in the venue under the age of 18 after 8pm, for licensing reasons.
